The fundamental mission of the water supply in Japan is to "provide customers with safe, tasty water at low cost and stably," and everyone admits that the water supply is one of indispenbsable utilities even normal times or emergency.
In recognition of the mission of such a water supply business, and in order to contribute to its maintenance and development as much as possible, we have set forth a "Corporate Philosophy" consisting of a mission, vision, and philosophy, with taking into account the issues related to the water supply business in Japan.
We all will work together to deliver services that satisfy customers at all times, while making use of the achievements, knowledge and experience that we have cultivated over many years. Through those activities, we contribute widely to the construction of safe and secure water supply utilities and prosperous and comfortable society insuring access to safety water.

We are Osaka Waterworks Group

OWGS and the Osaka Municipal Waterworks Bureau will collaborate on projects related to wide-area collaboration and overseas expansion of water supply businesses, as well as other projects that contribute to strengthening the foundation of water supply in Japan. We will mutually utilize the technological capabilities and know-how related to water supply in order to contribute to the resolution of issues in the water supply business in Japan and developing countries. We develop our own human resources, and strive to maintain and improve our technological capabilities and know-how into the future.

BUSINESS

OWGS will contribute to the realization of safety, resilience, and sustainability in local water supply businesses by delivering the technologies with high quality and know-how that support total water supply systems from water sources to faucets with high quality.

Operation and maintenance of water supply facilities

In order to deliver safe and secure water to customers to their home faucets, we utilize our abundant knowledge and experience in water treatment to operate and manage water supply facilities such as water purification plants and water distribution plants, as well as inspect and maintain and manage them.

Construction supervision of water supply facilities, etc.

We understand the role and position of water utilities and support them in solving problems in construction supervision and other matters based on the functions and characteristics of water supply facilities and pipeline facilities.

Pipeline information organization, input/output

We confirm the contents of water supply equipment completion drawings and water distribution pipe completion drawings related to water pipeline information, register them in the filing and database system, and input them into the mapping system. In addition, we issue completion drawings and explain drawings applied for by designated water supply equipment construction companies and the general public.

Water supply equipment construction design review and completion inspection

We examine and inspect the application documents and design drawings of designated water supply equipment construction companies to ensure that they conform to the "Structural Material Standards" and "Water Supply Equipment Design and Construction Standards."

Inspection of water storage tank of small exclusive water supply

As the registered organization with the Minister of Health, Labor and Welfare for inspection of simple dedicated water supply storage tank, we conduct regular inspections of the storage tanks, which is a statutory inspection required by the Waterworks Act.

Meter reading, counterwindow reception, etc.

We provide services that meet the needs of water utilities in each city, from individual outsourcing to comprehensive consignment such as "reception of various notifications related to water supply", "water meter reading", "fee collection", "delinquency settlement", "meter opening and closing stopper".

Water supply technology training

We will provide technical support related to training, such as accepting various types of training on water supply technology and dispatching instructors. In addition, we hold various workshops.
Osaka Municipal Waterworks Bureau's Experience-based Training Center Implementation and Operation of Training
We conduct a variety of training, including the operation of the "Water Utilities Training Courses" sponsored by the Osaka Municipal Waterworks Bureau and the "Custom-Made Training Courses" conducted in the training curriculum desired by each water utility.

Water Supply Business Advisory

In order to respond swiftly to the needs of water utilities that are facing various issues such as sluggish growth in water supply revenues, rising demand for facility renewal, and a decrease in the number of staff, we are contributing to ensuring the sustainability of water supply businesses that match the actual circumstances of the region from the four perspectives of "stability," "security," "safety," and "low cost."
